  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 8 ounces warm water (120 to 140 F)
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger (optional, grated)
  • Pinch of ground cinnamon or cayenne (optional)
  • Pinch of sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat water to about 120 to 140 F, ensuring it is warm but not boiling.
  2. Squeeze fresh lemon juice into your mug.
  3. Add 1 to 2 teaspoons of Manuka honey and stir until fully dissolved.
  4. If using, grate fresh ginger into the mug and stir.
  5. Add a pinch of cinnamon or cayenne if desired and stir again.
  6. Let the drink sit for 30 to 60 seconds to cool slightly before sipping.
  7. Rinse your mug after use to prevent stickiness.

Notes

For a colder version, allow the drink to cool and serve over ice. Adjust sweetness according to taste.
