- 8 ounces warm water (120 to 140 F)
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger (optional, grated)
- Pinch of ground cinnamon or cayenne (optional)
- Pinch of sea salt (optional)
Instructions
- Heat water to about 120 to 140 F, ensuring it is warm but not boiling.
- Squeeze fresh lemon juice into your mug.
- Add 1 to 2 teaspoons of Manuka honey and stir until fully dissolved.
- If using, grate fresh ginger into the mug and stir.
- Add a pinch of cinnamon or cayenne if desired and stir again.
- Let the drink sit for 30 to 60 seconds to cool slightly before sipping.
- Rinse your mug after use to prevent stickiness.
Notes
For a colder version, allow the drink to cool and serve over ice. Adjust sweetness according to taste.
