Description

A simple gelatin-based preparation that serves as a low-calorie nighttime snack to help curb cravings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon unflavored gelatin powder
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 3/4 cup warm water (near boiling)
  • Calorie-free sweetener or 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice or citrus zest
  • Optional: splash of apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Measure and bloom the gelatin by sprinkling it over cold water in a small bowl for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Heat the additional water to near boiling and remove from heat.
  3. Dissolve the bloomed gelatin by pouring the hot water over it and stirring until smooth.
  4. Add your chosen sweetener, lemon juice, or apple cider vinegar and adjust to taste.
  5. Chill the mixture in a small dish or molds in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours until firm.
  6. Serve chilled and consume within 2-3 days.
